Heater hose / where too?

I have a 455 with a performer intake. Looking at my assembly drawings the heater hose goes to the passenger side the intake. The problem is the fitting is very close to the coil . I would like to route it correctly as it requires less hose and less clutter over the motor. Any sugestions on where to move the coil too?

The clearence should be fine. The performer manifold has the same water port layouts as the stock manifold. Are you sure the coil is mounted correctly. You could mount the coil on the firewall if it still doesn't work for you.

My coil mounts to the Performer with no issues at all with the heater hose.
