The passenger door on my 73 H/O won't open. The door had been working fine and I took a buddy for a ride and now I can't open the door with the inside handle or the outside handle. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Ran into this problem on a '75 Buick Century at the junk yard a couple wks ago (latches are all the same on these '73-'77 GM "A" bodies). Assuming the lock linkage isn't binding, try rolling down the window so you can look down inside the door at the door latch. Use a long screwdriver or flat bar to push down on the lever at the very top of the latch (the one that has the short link to the exterior door handle). This will allow for the latch "jaws" to release while pulling on the door. If not, the "jaws" may be stuck and I would next try spraying some lubricant down in there to free it up.
