Driver's door won't open from inside

Driver's door won't open from inside
Hello,
I haven't been on the site for a while. I guess that's because my '70 Olds 442 Holiday Coupe has been running sweet. It's my daily driver and just recently my driver's door is very difficult to open from the inside. I've just torn in to it and can't find an obvious source of grief. It looks like the arm that pulls down on the actual latch doesn't have enough throw to get the latch to pop the door. Any thoughts!
