No text, just pictures. It appears to be a beat up blue four door F-85 that someone did the "reverse light delete" trick to, with a seriously dented roof and one pathetic looking straight 6 that I think is the base engine for the F-85s and is Chevrolet in provenance. No badges on the fenders, and it appears to be a Cutlass grille bar, but, considering that I know of no reason while anyone would go to the trouble of ever mounting a base six in one of these cars, that's GOT to be the original engine.

33569... VIN shows this to be a factory six cylinder CUTLASS more-door. An F-85 would have had a 33169... VIN. During the 1965-71 model years, the third character of the VIN would tell you the engine style. Odd numbers were six cylinder, even were V8s.
At least this car had AC. My son has a 33307 F85. Came with the six and optioned with Power steering, and two tone paint. Nothing else that was not standard equipment. Even the rear view mirror was not day/night.

A friend of mine just bought a 331779... 1969 F-85 Sport Coupe. I6, manual steering, manual drum brakes, heater only. About the only option is the Junkaway instead of three on the tree (the latter would have been much cooler).

I stand corrected. I thought the sixes were only F85s.
Being a little older (67) I remember how the old timers were. These people lived through the depression (the Real one, without safely nets) and they valued a Buck. I remember the 1959 Plymouth "squad car" my Grandfather bought new, no radio, no power anything, rubber floor mats, black 4 door. Flathead 6, 3 on the tree. Not to be out done my other Grandfather, who was a Ford man, bought a 1960 black Falcon, similarity optioned. They were both retiring so they "splurged." They both could have afforded high option vehicles but because of being born in the late 1800's and what they had been through, they were conditioned to be "thrifty". And that's why this Cutlass got "optioned" as such. Jmo.
