Correct oil cap?

Hey ya'll, Is this the correct oil cap for a 69 Cutlass, 350 2bbl? Mine currently has a roughly 2" high chrome breather type cap that sticks out like a sore, but shiny, thumb that can be seen in the engine photo. Thanks,
Rob

That one on the GM box is for a 307, but will fit fine.
That goofy one looks like a late 60's 425 oil fill cap.

Is the oil fill tube you have just a straight open tube? That's what the push on cap like you have matches. The newer one has a lip for the rotate on cap. You may need to replace the tube and cap for the correct appearance. John

1969 oil fit top

I'm not sure how well you can see this photo, but it's a 1969 455 and the oil cap is flat on top. It has a quarter turn to tighten it on the fill tube. John

Hey John, The tube on my engine has a notched opening and the current cap has the flat blades and installs with a quarter turn. The tube appears to be correct as the number letter code stamping indicates and the cap was just added by one of the previous owners. The ebay seller that has the cap I asked about also has a flat type that shows in your 455 engine pic but they say it's original for a 442 and H/O and want $125 dineros for it. Seems like a heck of alot of greenbacks for an oil cap. Could be a lot of bull too. Here's a pic of it and a link to the site if you want to read the description.

Whooo, for that kind of money I'd live with a used one until you came across a nicer one. John
