I have a 71 chevy impala convertible. The top was working just fine and all of sudden I tried to let it down and nothing moved and I heard nothing from the motor or relay. Saw a little smoke come from the top motor and it was real hot. Does anybody have any suggestions on what could be the problem?

 

Sounds like the motor.

 

Grounds, The relay, The circuit breaker or the motor itself. Nice car. Ive owned a couple of 72s.
