Ok guys here is the scoop,
I had been looking for a early 70`s cutlass for years and posted a add I was looking for one. A guy from Nebraska hit meup and said he had his dads 70 olds cutlass convertible he would sell me. His dad was the original owner, making his son second owner and now me the third owner. The car has some rust issues like the 1/4 panels small spots on the doors and lower fenders. Since then I have gathered almost all the parts to start on it except for the new 1/4 panels. Any suggestions on new 1/4 panels would be appreciated. The interior is perfect it needs a new top also, where can i get a new one? It has the thermometer by the drivers mirror kind of neat,if i can figure out how I will post some pics of it.

Thanks for the welcome also yall.

Welcome. I wouldn't worry about driving a Yugo. During the NATO attack on Yugoslavia two Canadian CF-18's blew the Yogo plant to bits with hundreds of brand new Yugo's inside. They say there was over $300 damage.

Welcome to our webiste. We must see pictures of this Cutlass to determine its coolness. Also, where in OK do you live. There is a guy near me that could redo your convertible top. I am having him do my interior right now. So far he is doing a top notch job!

Thank you, it is fantastic so far being here!

Let me try and figure out how to post some pics here. I live in Blanchard. That would be great, I was thinking of buying one and doing it myself but it might be beyond my skills to do it. It looks pretty tough from what I have seen in some instructions.

I have never redone a convertible top before. I have heard it is difficult, especially if you don't have a factory service manual. I just sent you a PM with that guy's information.

You could look into superspecialty.com as they have convertible tops and accessories for cutlass and many others. Welcome to the site , these guys are great for info and places to go to get parts , and if you are going to do it yourself like me you may spend lots of time right here.
