Would you by parts for your Olds from these "experts"?

I was reminded of this picture I took out of a restoration parts company's catalog about 15 years ago when I saw a thread on CO from someone asking about the difference between a 70 and 71-72 hood. Can you believe this company would be bragging about what experts they were on Oldsmobile's and would picture this car???.. It's the same color as my 71 so I took the pic and put a big red cross thru it and put it on my garage wall. I have since had friends come over and look at it and ask why I put a cross thru a picture of my car!!! Well I guess it's one of those things if you don't see it it can't be explained. Any way sorry about the bad pics but its still up on the wall..I don't see what company it was for. Weird Huh??

Well they did a heck of a good job fitting that 70 hood on there. The front grills have been chopped and are CS even though it's badged 442, the stone shield rocket is for 72. Don't know who this company is but all I can hope is they learned from their mistakes? 15 years ago there weren't as many vendors as today for aftermarket Olds parts.

Hmmm, the paint looks really nice. If yours is too it's a stunning color combo! Post a pic of yours for comparison??

Yep Allan I need to get pics on the site. Believe it or not I'm just getting out of the film pics and getting into digital. Next spring after I get the cars back out I want to get some digital pics of 'em and post.

The building in the background makes me think it's YearOne...I remember that car for some reason, but I'm not for sure. There aren't many to choose from...sadly.

That doesn't look like the Year One building I went to. If this was 15 years ago they wouldn't have been in the Mitsubishi TV building yet.

Funny how they have arrows pointing to the bad grilles.

Actually Steve, I did a little checking on the web and Year One is a supplier to the folks who are in the ad the OP put up. Have a look Muscle Car Restorations The company name apparently hasn't changed. This is the Olds image they now put forth with a recommendation from the owner. I'm sure I've seen this car on C.O. somewhere.

I think that's from a Paddock catalog. I remember the hybrid front end. Seems like they had more performance parts than correct restoration parts but were one of the earlier suppliers.
