i have a 83 olds delta 88 4dr , i put a olds455 in now iam looking for some headders for the situp cause some one bent my flanges i was told so i always had a major exhaust leak , but im trying to fix it with out spending money i didnt need to spend or buying the wrong parts

Do you have headers in the car now? I'm not aware of anyone who makes BBO headers for the 1977-1990 B-body cars. Some people use the G-body headers, but that requires removal of the two bolt-on chassis braces that run from the crossmember to the side rails. I'd hesitate to remove these because GM typically doesn't install parts that aren't needed. I suggest you use W/Z exhaust manifolds instead.

it might be regular 307 manifold on it now im not sure what it is just trying to fix the exhaust leak and free up some bbo power if possible

i was think the same thing a long time ago but just started to look at some headers thinking it might work but like you said i think thorton is my safest bet thanks

i have not axually done this but i hear our b bodys are very similar to 73-77 a-bodys. useing heeaders for these years will work.

They are, but the difference is the bolt-on braces I noted above. These are what make headers nearly impossible.

I understand your point and concern about the metric delta braces.
GM Won't spend a penny more than they have to it seems.
However...
I have beaten the snot out of a few of these cars with the front braces removed for over 10 years, and can honestly say, the rear spring perches will bend, or the rear frame rails will rot out long before the engine cradle suffers permanant damage.

I'll try and find pictures of the bent rear perches. In my opinion, they should have braced that area better.
