Who is your favorite quality Quadrajet builder?

A friend of mine is finishing up a firebird 400 convertible and on the hunt for a quality quadrajet. Probably of the 800 CFM variety, later 170 series.

I pointed her at SMI Sean Murphy Induction, but it seems to be closed due to health issues.

Where should she turn for a quality rebuild?

Thanks
Chris

Ruggles was everybody's go-to but he appears to have retired from building, although he's still first rate for parts and info.

He made a post on Facebook a couple weeks ago that he was so far behind he wasn’t taking on any more builds until he was caught up.

Ray Kleem has the Q-Jet for my son Olds-Camino project, I hope to have it back soon.

I have had excellent results using Carb Junky’s in Georgia. Excellent correct component coloring on everyone I’ve had done.

I use a guy local to me. Hes pretty good, the money is right and the car runs great. He's also tall, has the strength of two men and every woman that sees him can't help but blush. He's also very humble.

Sounds like we have the same carb builder. I see mine when I look in the mirror everyday.

Just read in another thread that Sparky has a backup of Q-jets waiting to be rebuilt, resulting in lengthy wait times.
