Where to start looking for a short

I replaced my wiper motor as it stopped working. Plugged in the new one, then half of my fuses lost power, on either side. I need to redo the wiring to the wipers. Where is the main fuseable link, the big purple wire off the starter? Any other fuseable links on this car?

The distribution (power) junction block (bolt) on the 1970 CSM wiring diagram is called the POWER TAKE OFF. OEM fusible link has black insulation.
