Where do I mount engine hoist chain on 307 thanks

 

On the passenger side back of the block there is a hole in the block. It is sideways. Then you have a loop hook on the intake on the front of the engine on the drivers side. I made a pull chain with a hook from an old tie down strap on each end. It is a quick hook up works great.

 

I've been using a carb plate for the last 30+ years.

 

The safest thing to do is to run a chain from the accessory bolt holes on the front of one head to the back of another. Use grade 8 bolts. Be sure the chain link is right up against the head so the bolt isn't put in bending.
