Where did 2blue442 go?

I touch base with John periodically via personal email. Last time I was in touch he mentioned:
So I'm guessing that's what's up. His work does take him away from the home puter for weeks at a time though. I'm sure he won't mind if I share this with you.
I've not been on much over the last couple months. Life has just been too busy!

Allan, If you think it OK, let him know I'm trying to contact him. It was prearranged some time back, but the delay is my own fault.
Thanks for the report though, things will lighten up after awhile I'm sure. Regards

I was in touch with John last month - I was concerned that an Oregon black bear had him for dinner!
He is alive and well, very busy with work and also working on his house, garage, shop and carport. He has to make the best of these rain-free summer days. Send him a PM - he should respond in a few days.

Yeah, life gets busy sometimes. I hope the other folks that haven't been on for a while are doing OK. We've lost a few members over the years and unless someone posts their passing we wouldn't know what happened to them.

Thanks Allan. I don't think I ever corresponded with her but I enjoyed seeing how much she loved her car and enjoyed it. She had no problem jumping in the middle of this make dominated thread. I have never visited the good morning thread. I will do that but doubt I will be very active due to time constraints. Thanks for the info.

Hopefully she will start a thread on the makeover...

Like many of us, Sandy doesn't have the skills (yet) to do these types of repairs so it will be farmed out and I believe she has chosen a local company to do the work. Likely the best you can hope for is if she drops in to see how it's done and takes some pics or asks the shop to take pics as they go, but most shops don't do that. Otherwise it will just be a 'before' and 'after' shot, not a thread on restoring. I'm sure the car will look and smell (new material always leaves a fresh new smell I think) amazing when it's done.
Don't get me wrong - she has a very nice car, just that all her mechanical or cosmetic detail work is done by others. Allan H (Bluevista) did all the engine compartment detailing including painting the engine and did an incredible job. Too bad he doesn't frequent this site anymore. His humor and attention to detail is missed. I think it all had something to do with the sale of his 71 Blue Vista Cruiser a couple years back.
Sandy does a great job keeping the car clean, polished and looking fresh though because it constantly wins top honors at the car shows. I believe the last thing that was done was the AC recharge just a couple weeks back.
