Where is the best place to buy "correct" replacement Oldsmobile parts?
#42
The 68 A body BBO uses the same mounts and frame bracket as the SBO. The unique BBO mounting system started in 69.

Engine mounts are generally not an issue. It's really easy to find info about them too. Contrary to what you might have been told, the engine mounts are commonly 2261 for SBO and 2328 for BBO from 1968-1973
Here's a link to Anchor Industries where you can check out the issues.
What year 455 are you swapping into your car?

Supercars has a lot of good parts and what they ship is superior quality to what you get at the local parts store, more expensive but you don't have to do the job twice. Fusick is OK they have a lot of hard to find parts but they don't fit any better than everyone else's. Most repo parts are just close very seldome are they right on.
Brother's sucks. Tried ordering from them once, was told that the parts where it stock but they never showed up, was given a sob store and told they would be in in a week, several weeks later I canceled the order, never got anything.

I have to chime in on Brothers at this point. Until about two months ago I lived within about two miles of their location in Kansas. You might (or might not) be surprised to learn that their building is very small and virtually empty. As near as I can tell they stock virtually nothing. Instead, it appears that they wait until they have orders in hand and then buy from their suppliers to complete the orders you place. That would go a long way towards explaining their customer service issues.
Even as a local customer, I was never able to do any business with them. Despite numerous visits, there was never anyone in their business. Even after calling them I could never set up a time when we could meet so I could buy from them.
Do what you like but they will never get a dime of my money

I've never had a problem actually ordering through their site in terms of actually receiving the stuff ordered, but it's still true that the lemonade stand run by my next door neighbor's 8-year-old has a better website.
