I am rapidly sneaking up on 40 and have been in the tire and wheel business. I like factory 14s with redlines and bigger wheels too. Its all about the stance and combo.

Its not all about age. I'm 18 and my car will never see anything but 15's.

Until your disposable income increases and permits would be my speculation

Haha, I knew as soon as I posted that that somebody was going to say that. But no, I like the pro street look, and Im going to stick to that with my car. It currently has Weld Racing Draglites on it, and they look alright. Sometime in the next few years I will most likely be switching to Weld Prostars.

Another buying point for me is I refuse to ever buy polished aluminum ever again.
Too much of a PITA to clean annually and polish. I want ZERO maintenance.

I will tell you that mine was $2000 and under for tires and rims.
I ended up paying $1800 IIRC for my Foose Legends wrapped in Nitto 555R through DriverzInc.
Look at how cheap they are now......only $265 a rim. http://driverzinc.com/product/foose-legend-onepiece/
He beat EVERYONE's price online. Even the black one's are still $670 a pop.

What do you think of these in 17" for $350 a rim ??? Keepin it old school style but bigger.

Here's another 20" rimmed 442 owner. Not many in 20" can pull off the look right like this.
These look identical to the Foose Legends but they are BOSS rims.
What I dig about these is it's a machined lip and PC'd centers so they are maintenance free!!!
These are sweet! What Boss 20" rims are these?

I'll be 73 next week and I still think larger custom wheels look much better (if they are the right size and wheel) then most factory wheels. They just bring a whole new look to the car.

Well I'll dare to be different. I want my classic to have either it's original wheels or some the same size. With wide whitewalls if they are correct. I don't want bias ply tires, just some radials very close to the original size But nobody will cry themselves to sleep knowing I don't care for their choice, as I won't over theirs.....

Roger.

Bias ply tires look terrific on classic cars, ang they belong there. This picture is the the proof. The new Large rims look to be better suited on Covered Wagons in the old west than Classic cars . It's original factory rims or Cragers for me.Been that way since I started driving. That aint never going to change.

New/or polished center caps and the revel bezels powder coated white to match the stripe? Maybe whiter letters or the tires? Baking soda/soap really help (sprayed with vinigure). Clean vert.!
