What's the story on the Hurst Olds attacked by drunken fools at the Oldsmobile Nationals? I have heard short stories here and there. Can someone clue me in as to what happened? I heard some fools jumped all over a Hurst Olds ragtop with the shifter on it. Love to hear what happened.

 

This subject is not appropriate to discuss in a public forum, and you shouldn't "love to hear" about an Oldsmobile being damaged. I would urge people, out of respect for the car, its owner, and the members of the club, to not gossip about it. Sorry to be a dick.

What makes it taboo to discuss in public? Were any charges filed? Are the cases still being heard?

 

Some people get a Pass because they are part of a "protected" or "special" "label". Is my guess.
First I heard of this.
The CLUB should be reporting any and all members that had anything to do with this. Furthermore, why did they stand around and let it happen.
The national Olds club that ,that chapter is out of, should pull them from having a clug, chapter till all parties come forward and do the right thing.
I am going to ASSUME that the people at that location thought the owner of vehicle was with the folks getting on the car. Or know that it is best to mind thar own business.
I hope the owner got the vehicle fixed, and People stepped up to help him, fix it.
People sometimes make me sick. Even when I was a wild youth, I would never have even entertained the idea of climbing on someone else's vehicle to take a photo unless I was able to ask them first. As I being a gearhead know what it takes to make a vehicle run/drive and look nice.
These fools are part of the cars brand CLUB. THEY know what it takes, or should. They have no place in our hobby. I don't care if they were feeling no pain, you don't do this crap to others property.
I know one thing, If I saw photo's of those that did this, they never be welcome to any event period , as they can't be trusted to not harm others property.
