What is it worth

I am the very proud owner of a very fine Olds 98 holiday Coupe from 1966 in Autumn Bronze.

I am looking to restore a 1947 olds 66series that I also have.
My question is to finance the new build I need to sell my holiday coupe.

What can I expect it is worth?

You'll get as many different answers as there are people who respond. Some will want to know information about the car down to the finest detail. But that's not necessary because any figure you get is ballpark, and any estimate with more than two significant figures is pointless.

Showing a few photos of the '66 wouldn't hurt, but assuming "very fine" means it doesn't need much in terms of restoration, anywhere from $5,000 to $15,000, give or take a dollar here and there, I would say. You won't know until you post it for sale and see what kind of response you get. How popular are old American cars in Denmark as far as collectability? How badly does someone out there want this car?

You have an awesome car based on pictures in the link below. Considering the cost of export from the US, I would think $20-25k American is not out of the question for Denmark.

Is that the car? It's very nice. I agree, all the way over there $20-25K wouldn't be beyond the pale.

Very nice car.

I think the black wheels do it a disservice. This is not a sports car. It's supposed to exude stately elegance. Adding shiny, full, Oldsmobile wheelcovers would be the perfect finishing touch. Alternatively, you could turn the tires around and have the blackwall sides facing out. Wide-stripe whitewalls seem out of place with black wheels.

What a beautiful Oldsmobile!

Even though I think they're a dastardly company, Hagerty has an excellent valuation tool for classic cars. That car is easily in #2 condition, and might be worthy of #1 condition if you have the OE wheels. Make sure you add a premium since you're overseas.

Thank you very much 🙂

My plan is to add some other rims to the car to look more classic.
But one needs money to make it 🙂🙏iI have triede to keep it as original as possible and the wheels were on it when I bought it so it has not been the 1 priority to change those, But to fix the rust and restore the drivetrain and engine to get it to drive as smoothly as possible 🙂

So love that color combo.
That combo makes it worth a little more...to me
Toros look beautiful in that triple combo as well.

The rear quarter is as long as two smart(dumb) cars!!!

You may be able to find a set of wheels and full wheel covers (some call them hub caps) for that car if you put up a parts needed post but the shipping would probably be really high from here to there. Hope it works well for you and good luck.

Thank yiu 🙂🙏

Yes the car is pretty lomg.
The thing I love about it is that even when they say the Caddies are big car, this has more leg room than the cadillac from the same year.
For me being a very tall guy ment alot.
and yes I think you can fit a Smart in the trunk 🤣

Was talking to my daughter about this car and told her it was as big as my Cadillacs. She understood how dang gargantuan it is! It's an awesome ride.
