what we like to see at our local gas station

The Alon (formerly Fina) stations around here all carry ethanol-free fuel, and they tout the fact heavily in their advertising. Good for them, I say!

Right now, regular is going for $3.20-ish per gallon here, ethanol-blend or pure gasoline. Same price.

I'd be glad to. My fee is very reasonable!

It's all that goes into my two old cars. It's kind of nice not worrying about what the ethanol is doing to the various fuel system components.

We have them. They just go into a different part of the car.

Yeah - it stinks when you think so, but then you find out there's more there than meets the eye .

Yeah - funny story actually.
Years ago, I was working on a ferry boat in the middle of the night, and this guy got out of his car with an ear to ear smile (and a bit more "ethanol" on board than he maybe should have had), and told me how lucky he had just gotten that this beautiful girl had gone home with him.
He went around the corner to use the head, and I walked by the car and had a look into the passenger seat.
His new friend in the passenger seat was certainly "beautiful," but no girl ever had an adam's apple that big.
I didn't say anything to him about it - I mean, what could I say?
I figure he got a pretty big surprise a little while later, and, who knows, maybe broadened his horizons .

Ethanol is a joke. Ruins 2-cycle engines, hard on old engines, subsidized by my tax money, makes MPG worse. Raises food prices. Can't get ethanol free here.
Sorry for the rant.
