I've got the hots for a gangster ride

There was a 1933 Oldsmobile 4 door for sale in Willows CA.It turned me on to the point that I was looking to mortgage the homestead to buy it. She was the ultimate gangster ride and I still get hot flashes when I think about it, or was that my wife. Oh well it's still high on my bucket list.....Tedd

1970 Agean Aqua 442 W-30 post car with a 4 speed, bucket seats and a rear wing and not much else. My neighbor had this car while I was in school. He sold it when I was 16 (1983) and I could not come up with the $1600 to buy it.

1970 F85 W31 4-spd (like the one below), or a 1970 442 W-30 4-spd.

there is a '49 or '50 olds coupe out north of town, turned upside down on a pile of scrap...i've managed to save the 303 with the hydramatic...no front clip or doors, i need to get back out there and see if i can figure out what it is... i do know that it's a coupe, i'm figuring an 88... no sign of a roof, need to snoop some more and see what it is. the frame is perfect so i may peel it off the body for a rat rod or if it's a vert and the body isn't completely trash try to save the whole thing.

I did not think the 70 sport mirrors would work with a post car, I figured the wing windows would hit.

With so many great restorations choices, I'd have to say...

Hands down, I would restore the OLDSMOBILE company. Enough said!

i have 2 i would love to restore. I love the look of gassers minus the patina people are into. I would do a 1956 rocket 88 with a 350 olds with dual quads and a 4 speed and 4.88 gears with a killer old school panel paint job complete with a straight axle. My other would be a 1970 post coupe f85 painted metallic brown with black interior flat hood with my current drive train . I am trying to make the 70 post coupe happen and im looking .

Love those 73 Regency's. When you buy one, it comes with a captains hat!! ...and you become a member of the C.O. "Land Yacht Club". Got a line on a 70 VC up here. Still thinking about it....

1970 442 W30 4-speed AC-delete triple black hardtop

No offense to anyone out there but i get kinda tired of seeing that every restored 442 always seems to be a convertible

None taken. I have a vert but my dream Olds would be a hardtop 68 Cutlass. Mild pro touring. I say mild because I want it better than factory but not going to race Vettes and Porsches. Rather drive it on the street and enjoy it w/o any kidney issues.

If I could chose any Oldsmobile to restore, I'd have to chose my Delta 88.

After seeing some of the beautifully painted and upholstered ones on here, I see lots of potential in my 74.

I would have to say a 1966 442 F85 Hardtop L69 Autumn Bronze bench seat, with of course the mandatory third pedal. I actually owned that exact car and sold her years ago. I am on the hunt for another one but for now my F85 deluxe will have to do

We are allowed more than one? Ok,

1971 442 W-30 4-Speed, Viking Blue, Post
1971/72 Vista Cruiser, Blue (w/OAI for fun)
1969 442 W-30 4-Speed, Black
1966 Toronado
1967 Delmont 88 Convertible

...AND the aforementioned 67 442 Convertible...

If I had more money than sense, I would like be like Leno. That is just the Oldsmobile list.

1962 Starfire. My Dad had one when I was a wee lad, blue. I have not seen another like it. I would restore it and give it to him before he passes.

Interesting thread. I go by favorites in manufacturers:

Oldsmobile = 1969 442 Convertible, White over blue. Boring for many, I am sure, but to me a true gem.
Chevy = 1957 Nomad, Red with all the chrome. My father had one (long before I was born) but I was always amazed with how it looked in the pictures.
Buick = 1948 Timbs Streamliner (haha) or a 55 Roadmaster Convertible (or HT)
http://www.thecoolist.com/1948-buick...orman-e-timbs/

If I wanted something really early, it would be a pre-War Packard. But I honestly don't know which one.

Having said that, I don't have all that much space (and even less money) so I'll probably try to finish my 71 before I do anything else. I still have a long way to go on that, too.

Ok, that Timbs is THE coolest car I have ever seen.We could grab 2-might get a wal - mart discount:

That is now in my favorite car folder!

If you find one of these on a special somewhere, I'm certainly in.

I've liked the way that car looked since I saw it for the first time. I've been to a number of automotive museums in the US and in Europe and I've never seen one in person.

Someday I'll put one in the garage next to my 71 Cutlass.

I would love to restore a 65 442 like the first car I had, but I think that's only natural to still love your first car. I also dig the 1955-1958 Oldsmobiles.

yes sir love my first car a 66 f-85 442 clone im working on now

I'd go for a 1966 Starfire with a four-speed, if that was possible.
If not, a 1965 Jetstar 1 with a four-speed.
After that, any '64 88 with a four-speed.
