Nice exhaust. The cut outs after the x where a good choice.

I finally used the weed wacker to trim the weeds that grew around the perimeter since I pushed it into the back yard last year.

Took her to a cars and coffee. Probably a 100 cars soup to nuts in variety... Looks like everyone is ready to get out and show their cars, still lots of masks and distance hornering.... Tedd

Not today, but Saturday 6 Jun, I sold Saved 62, after a 15 year term as caretaker. Along with the ride went 4 plastic storage bins of parts.

Working on the 68: Replaced the hood seal and adjusted the clutch. Added it to the insurance so tomorrow I bleed the brakes then take it to have the exhaust flange welded and hanger replaced. After that, she is a driver. Wow, its been a long time since I started the engine swap. So far it seems great, the Lunati w31 spec cam makes beautiful music through the large valves and long tubes.

Have an 86 442 to which I believe I posted pics that I just finished up.
To my better judgment, I didn't plan on buying another car but after a getting a call saying a 1980 442 was 15 miles away I pulled the trigger. Almost a original barn find - black-gold. Original owner owned it for 30 years, sat for most of it's life, he started partial restoration around 6 months ago but unfortunately passed away. He installed rebuilt 350 and trans from a 70 Cutlass. New windshield - brakes - tires - exhaust - radiator etc.
He collected some parts over the years - 2 sill plates - 2 seat backs - 2 side seat cover chrome pieces - 3 B pillar trim - A pillar trim - and a trunk deck spoiler.
Only things missing I can see is a radio - door panel 442 emblems - seat belt guide - side seat cover. Has original spare tire and jack.
Original paint body very straight with zero rust through anywhere. Trunk is stupid perfect. Interior is rough but all there.
Runs awesome A to B. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with it really.
So what I've done with my 1980 442 is just linseed oil the body - install an original fender emblem and front clip Oldsmobile name plate.
I'm not sure if I'll restore this vehicle despite how rare this is and how few are left - the value of it just doesn't seem to justify it.
It wouldn't be a tough fix though.

After researching the interweb,, I realized that when I applied my trunk stickers the first time, they were not as they should be...

So I corrected my mistake...

If I do the grills might as well go all out and make it a 442, Hurst, W30, Starfire, f88, Royale Supreme.
all I would need are some "Stinking Badges" (haha)

Had my engine out and pulled apart ! Bad oil pressure, bad everything and only 37000 miles on it after the first rebuild back in 2007 ! Glad I did after seeing the cam ! So going to an upgraded cam and the cylinder walls have to be bored 0.060 over since previous shop bored them 0.040 over but told me they were 0.030 over back when the engine was first done.

Finished off my trunk with the some splatter paint. I used two quarts of The Parts Place black aqua paint. It sprayed on fine but it was more like grey and black. I had a couple spray cans of the AC Delco black/aqua paint, so I used that to dust on some aqua. It also had black flecks along with the aqua. I’m very happy how it turned out. Going to spray on some satin clear to protect the flecks as well.

I used a spray gun for The Parts Place quarts, and a rattle can for the black/aqua fill in.

Took her out today.
it's around 93 here in Florida and I wanted to see if the a/c worked after I finished recharging it.
Worked great, just puked a little coolant after I got home.
I figure the coolant will find its level.

As far as what have i done to my Olds today. I am sorry to say I was going down the highway at 60mph and trying to sort out a vibration. whether it was there while in gear or not. The column shifter was not moving easy for some reason and I hit reverse, the tires locked up, i immediatly moved it out, so far all is well.
