What car is this 8 Track from?

I assume that the face is one year only maybe? What year is that? Also, what does the case fit? Big car maybe? Any information would be great. I rebuilt the player and going to list it for sale but don't know the proper application.

Thanks

Edit... Also wondering the the case fits more than one year and model?

I think it's a 68 face, maybe Toro case? Definitely big car, I think 68 442 is like 69-up case style. I know a 68 face looks like that. 68's are a little bit different inside under the cover.

Thanks. Are you talking inside the player cover that is different? This player was not the same inside as the other two I just did and both of those were 70.

Anyone else have any info? I Googled it and can find nothing about this case style

Right...not the plastic case, inside under the player cover is different. I don't remember exactly what, but i remember re-furbing one, and it was a bit cruder inside compared to later years. I don't know if it was the switches or rollers...but they improved the unit after 68.

Case

tape player case is from a 1968 Olds 88 or 98. The front pad and faceplate will work on the 1968 Cutlass/442.

Thank you. Is the case 68 only?

The case is 1968 Olds 88 and 98 only. I think I have one listed for sale. Not a very popular item.

Maybe I should find a case for a Cutlass and put this player in it. I would just change the brackets on this case but the back corners are cut for it's application.

Thanks again

What do you want for the cover? I think I can make it work for a project I have.

Are you talking about the face plate or the entire case without the player?
