Wal-Mart engine test stand

I know many of us have this stand and i was wondering if any one could tell me which coolant sending unit i can get for the original gauge it came with? The last engine i had on it i sold and never removed the coolant sending unit(grrr) . I have my old factory olds sender in the intake on my latest engine but it doesn't read anything on the gauge .Maybe its time to get a decent temp gauge for this stand .Thoughts?

Are you talking about the Larin engine run stand? If so, I pitched the P.O.S. gauges it came with and got Autometer gauges from swap meets.

Is this stand universal? I.e. compatible with different engine types or do you order by make?

Thanks!

Yes it's universal -sort of. The features for mounting the engine are adjustable, but I had to trim the tops of the uprights to fit in Olds motor mounts. They are sized for Chevy mounts from the factory. Yeah, big shock...

Yes, I currently own all of the cars in my sig line. Please don't ask how many run. As for the experience, I got my first car (a 1968 Vista) in 1974 and learned how to fix it since I couldn't afford to pay a mechanic. Since then I've pretty much made every mistake and broken every part that people ask about.
