W30 stable mate

Look what just arrived today complete with original order form, broadcast card and the elusive Lansing build sheet (ha, just kidding about the last one)

All the W parts are there, the rims should be SS1s and the wing looks repo (not on order form either) Has buckets, AC, rear defogger, ralley pac and hood lock

Was the car originally Saturn Gold or was it White? The roof has white under the paint or is that primer?

yep that's the plan, try to enjoy the process but we will see how that goes.

it looks better in pictures, runs really strong though and still has lots of original parts.

its double dash - - Nugget Gold, that's the primer, sun just beat on it I guess. fenders have holes in them, deck lid is gone more than I would have thought but the trunk floor and floorboards look good. Quarters are good, doors are good, hood is cracked up front but mettle frame is solid. Has one 71 fender and one 70. I suspect one was changed but it is an April build and there has been talk about late 70s early 71 having mixed fenders. I bet this is a replacement fender, as it looks like some of the car has been repainted. Jambs and under deck lid are original paint.

I'll look at it more and post some more pics

I need to look at the docs again but the car was in the same town its whole life or at least the same area in VA. The last owner had the car since the mid 80s. I believe I'm the 3rd or 4th owner. The car runs very very strong but does need some work as all these old cars do. The neat part is I have the original dealer order form, interesting how the charged the original owner for sport mirrors but supposedly those were included in the W30 package. Wonder if that was a real mistake or a way of making an extra buck even back then.
