I have a set of w30 F heads. What is the going rate of them, should I let them sit or should I get them rebuilt back to stock? Or could I even trade for a 66 tri power set up?
At the minimum, those would have to be checked for cracks and verified to be good and rebuildable along with casting #s and any other authentication. IMO the going rate for a rebuildable pair 3-5k? possibly a little more if they were ready to go but not less. A good rebuild has got to be worth 1500 depending?

if you dont know the history on them first verify the casting numbers, its not uncommon to make make an E head a F head. Those should be well preserved under all that grease!!!
You for sure need to have them cleaned and checked before someone will pay top dollar for them. Also should determine if they have been milled before. If good cores and never milled they will bring $3500. If milled it will go down a little. If you are going to sell them I would NOT rebuild them. Most people would rather pay for the core and let their own guy rebuild them. Lots of bad machine shops out there and many people will not trust the work of someone they do not know. F heads I strongly believe will be coming down on price some. The supply is somewhat high right now and very few buyers. Most W-30 cars already have them by now.
If you sold them as is unchecked you would be lucky to get $2000 for them.
