W25 hood graffiti

Found some crayon markings while cleaning the bottom of the hood up. Anyone scene these particular numbers before? Dustin

I have found lots of markings on the OAI hoods. Many of them have the full date on them. I just picked up a 1972 that has a 1972 date on it in markings

That makes sense. We should remember that those OAI hoods were a supplier part. GM only did fiberglass at the Corvette body facility, whereas the steel hoods were stamped and hemmed like any door or decklid in house. I imagine, due to low numbers, that there was probably only one place that made them and they shipped them to the various paint shops of the Olds plants. Tracking thus becomes important.
