Vista Cuda?!?

Seen at Chryslers @ Carlisle.

Yeah, I know it's a Challenger, but "Vista Cuda" sounds better.

I'm guessing that R/T stands for "really tacky" in this case.

Man that Chavista looks like a nice custom and a great way to destroy the collectors value for both vehicles. Funny thing is that the cuda got famous but the challenger which was a lower production car with the same engines just never got no respect. My favorite car movie vanishing point used a hemi challenger and destroyed it at high speed in the end.

The problem I have with this car is that after all that work, why not spend the money to get custom side glass cut so you fix the awful taper on the pillar between the Challenger quarter windows and the Vista side windows?

The good news is that none of the Challengers used in that movie were Hemis.
The main Challenger was a 440 RT.
The other good news is the crash at the end used a stripped 1967 Camaro!

I don't like the proportions of it at all. The back looks too massive, too high and the side glass doesn't look right as Joe has commented.

Heh. That's the same thing I say about the 2010 Camaro. Proportions are ALL WRONG.

This thing is interesting though. I expect part of the reason for the awkward c-post was the Challenger's unit body construction. Roof siderails are an integral part of its body structure.

Besides Joe P- what are you doing skulking around a Mopar show? Hmm?

In the Vista Cruiser circle that car has been turning up like a bad penny for a long time.

Are you sure he just wasn't rear-ended by a Vista Cruiser?

Wow. I don't think I'll be doing that to my new Challenger.
I saw pictures of a '64-'65 Chevelle two door wagon a few years ago that had a Vista roof that looked really good. I have also seen a "Cutlassmino" that was really well done.

I wonder why the builder didn't use a MOPAR station wagon for the back end?
