Upgraded the exhaust on my 65 Olds 98

I finally got around to replacing the horrible exhaust that was on my car. It was rusty, hung down about 4 inches too much, and had only a 2 inch tail pipe behind the muffler, and had no resonator.j

I purchased a Pypes Turbo Pro muffler, which is stainless steel and accepts a 2 1/2 exhaust pipe. I also bought a Summit polished stainless steel resonator, 2 1/4 inch. The exhaust shop did a really nice job tucking the system close to the floor. He started at the manifold with 2 1/4 then immediately made it 2 1/2. The system is 2 1/2 until it goes over the axle. He wasn't comfortable bending 2 1/2 over the axle so I reduced it to 2 1/4. Not sure why because there is enough room there for it. Anyhow, the exhaust is whisper quiet with no drone whatsoever. I can listen to the factory AM/FM radio perfectly. Anyone looking for a factory quiet but performance-oriented exhaust may consider this combo.
