unrealistic oldsmobile diorama figure

if they wanted to make this look more realistic the guy should be laying on the ground holding the back of his head and his oil jug laying on the ground spewing oil! https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...84790216073139

Spoken like a true 1970 owner! I remember those days very well, unfortunately.

Wah, wah, wah.

None of you whiny 70 owners have apparently had the "pleasure" of continually whacking your heads on the pointy latch bolt that hangs down under the barely-opening hood of a 68 442.

Me dad had a 68 ElCamino that I promise was just as bad! Something about 68 A-body hoods... the things just don't open high enough!

Mama's 70 S left its marks on my head too.

On the way to 1990 Columbus OH National Meet, a 70 SX dropped its water pump in Portsmouth OH. Getting new pump was no problem, and we had tools, but 3d time the fang got my head I stepped back and let a shorter fella take over the job! He was 5'7, I'm 6'3.

Any wonder I like the big cars better? Though on occasion my head whacks the roof rail on both Toronado and Starfire...

They did, but then made the fang longer!

Why is he pouring oil on the right, when the filler is to the left? I worry that Mechanic Doug has not worked on too many Olds!

All good reasons to never own any Olds newer than 67.

It's got the makings of a Steven King film, kind of a cross between Kujo & Christine. Killer Olds goes around slaughtering owners and mechanics via "THE FANG"

The fang!

Oldsguy's 69 Delta 88 caught us many times. Setting dwell at the back of the engine is easy being 7ft. tall but it makes dodging THE FANG dang near impossible.

Well, that's why the 1968 hinges are one-year-only.

Even the 72 W-25 hood bites me more than a 67's or my Chevy's. Can't imagine a 70 fang or a 68.

I've hit my head on the 70 tooth many many times.
It gives some... hurts but doesn't hurt like hitting the 69 hood spike that thing doesn't budge and it is pointy.
That thing will put your rear on the ground!

By comparison a 68 vs others, they all leave about the same mark in the skull and equal blood letting.

Hit my head many a time on many a model with secondary hood latches HOWEVER !! I think my most painful experiences came from
Tow hitches that extended well past the bumpers on pick up trucks (and some cars ) never seemed to fail that I would get in a hurry for something walk around the back of the car (always working two racks) and BAM tow hatch right across the shin as I was traveling past the rear of the vehicle DAMN that hurts !! and apparently I was a slow learner because I did that many times as well !!!

Might as well face it. ALL OF YOUR MACHINERY IS OUT TO GET YOU!!! AND YOUR TOYS TOO!!!😱

Driver door hold open spring has been broke on my 93 F150 for years. I have learned to park it with that side downhill. Otherwise door will shut on my foot while I'm trying to climb into it. Ow.

I will usually use inspired profanity, then I stop and lecture the car, either when I got hit, or something doesn't go together, or come apart, or work, that I am trying to fix it, and it is being counter-productive to resist my help.

😄

Glad I'm not the only one!

Trouble is vehicles aren't the only thing I do that with! I'm known to call something an ungrateful POS, when I'm trying to do something nice for it! And to question why it fights me every step of the way.
