Uncovered my car from its winter’s sleep

With it being such a nice day here in Massachusetts I uncovered my 70 442 and found a surprise - a good one I think.

I placed Wisedry packets inside the car’s interior but ended up hanging on the torsion trunk bars a DampRid packet. Upon opening my trunk I saw it collected approximately 2” of water. This is the first time I used these and I will now continue to use them each year and will also try them out in the interior next time to see what they collect. I have a two car garage with no insulation so these packets help me out.

looking forward to going for rides now with warmer weather here.

i've been using those things in my boats for years and they work great! makes sense to use them in our cars too. i've been out of the car game for a while so this winter coming, i'll be sure my 65 has a few of those.

This is interesting, Tom! Glad you woke up your car. I saw a lot of old cars on the road in MA today. I think they're headed to Gillette for the big cruise.

Hi Frank, I'll be looking to take a ride one of these Thursday nights down there. It's been a couple years since I went there, a nice variety of great looking cars. I'm looking to see what is up in the Middlesex County area since I moved from Norfolk County.

I just posted a show for you that is not too far, Tom. Unfortunately, I'll be at the GS Nats at that time.
