Ugh - turn signal on my 62...
So a few months ago, just before this crazy arctic weather, I pulled the column and installed a new rag joint to replace the torn up one. Now that it's warm enough in the garage to work on the car again, I noticed that the turn signal switch is no longer being actuated by the turn signal lever.
The lever still clicks through the positions, but somehow it is no longer "hooked up" to the rod that connects to the switch.
The 61 service manual has a good diagram for adjustment of the switch itself, but the exploded diagram of the column doesn't tell me much about how the rod connects to the lever. So my question is - do I pull the entire column or just the steering wheel?
I have a puller tool I bought at Napa that I use to remove the flywheel on my little 2-hp Johnson outboard, I'm assuming that will work to pull the steering wheel.
Hoping nothing's broken in the column and that it's fairly simple to fix!
