trying to get my temp guage to work for my 85 delta 88
When i bought the car the guy added the original set of factory guages.I think this only came on the station wagon version. The temp sender there only works with the idiot light. The temp guage only uses a single wire does anybody know which temp sender would work with my guages

Right... That would be correct for 85...
However, if I remember doing my homework right, the idiot light only is a one wire. My 78 was.
I have an 84 A4 intake in the garage, I'll look at it in the morning for you and compare it to my 78's 16. If I can grab you some pics, I will. I'll also slide some part numbers in there.
But I am sure that what I have in the intake of my Delta is what you would put in a 70-72 Cutlass with Gauges - 78 Cutlass with gauges - 78 Delta/98/CC with gauges.... I too converted to what is referred to as a Rallye Pack for the Delta.
I am however interested in hearing about where the two wires from the sensor above can go. If I can feed my gauge with one wire and my light with other, I'll be happy as a pig in poop!

The gauges were optional on all the RWD B/C-body cars, not just the wagons. The two wire sender is used for both the idiot light and the gauge. One wire goes to the light, the other to the gauge. Yes, it matters which is which.
I have the gauge wired straight, so the idiot light is just cut and taped. I'd love to get both working again. I also have a new harness as well, ready to plug in.
Joe is correct looking at the electrical drawing i have. The only problem is when i looked up the temp sender/switch there are so many of them at rockauto.Don't know which one.does anybody now
Leave the idiot light one alone.
For the gauge there are 2

I remember is being the WT359Z gauge, becuase it was smaller threads and higher priced. I bought both and tried both and took the other one back. Both fit my 22mm O2 Sensor socket wrench as well as the vacuum switch I took out

I've looked for one, but it is a plate much like the Rallye pack, and it goes in the place of the Rallye pack. I could either have a vac gauge or a rallye pack... hehehehe
