Trunk Lock for 1970 442
Trunk Lock for 1970 442
Unfortunately, the trunk lock is completely gone on the 442. While the screw driver is functional it isn't practical for when the car moves. I have paperwork with the original trunk lock code showing 9H37. Is it worth trying to come up with a way to get that particular coded lock? Now that I think about it, I don't even have the key for the lock so should I just order a new one and move on?
When I restored the blue 31, we were able to "rekey" an ignition cylinder to match the original keys to the car. Wonder if that can be done for the trunk cylinder.
I also need to find a key maker that can make me a key based on the code.

I cam cut that key by code and do a aftermarket cylinder that will fit and function properly. The face on aftermarket lock may be slightly different from the original. Should be around 55.00 for key, cylinder and make key
