I was thumbing through my ASM, and came across this note about the rear bumper fillers on the '72 A bodies. If I read it correctly, the bumper fillers were not used on the series noted. What were those models?

 

Those are Cutlass Supreme hardtop and convertible, respectively.

 

Read it again.

P/N 405936 and 403937 were used on all EXCEPT the 4257 (Supreme 2dr HT) and 4267 (Supreme convert).
P/N 405938 and 405939 were used ONLY on the 4257 and 4267.

Note that 4257 and 4267 styles were the only ones to use separate rear fender extensions, thus the need for different bumper fillers.

 

I am also confused by that. My Cutlass Supreme vert has fillers. I don't remember any difference between Suoreme or "S" when ordering the repops. I guess they are the right ones, they look the same....
