Trim adhesive

I thought about this because of another active thread that I didn't want to hijack. What do you gents use to adhere trim and fender scripts to your Olds? I actually used this on my 71 Olds and my Ford truck.

It worked great on my Olds for the trunk, dealer and Ninety Eight script that had the small holes and pegs to place the emblem. Unfortunately, it didn't work on my Ford truck for an XLT badge that desn't have holes and pegs. The XLT badge butts up against a diesel badge underneath an f250 badge that both use holes and pegs. Luckily, my friend found the XLT badge in my backyard when we were working on the Olds. I know my question isn't Olds specific, but you know...

i have used that to repair the plastic front bumper on one of my cars. For fender emblems, I would use 3M Emblem Adhesive.

If it helps, Toyota uses a sticky stuff on the back of the emblem that has a peel off backing, so it is essentially a "sticker." It may be worth trying to set it up like that.

Thanks for the tip Ken. I will use the 3M adhesive. I had luck with their weather stripping adhesive on my 71 Olds.

If the emblem is big enough and has some area, I have used 3M or similar 2 faced tape. It work great for that. But you aint getten it back off without taking the paint with it...
