Transmission opinion Please

Need to get another TH400 transmission had a bad one from summit.Model SUM-700401 last about 2 years probably wasn't built right.I have a 72 olds cutlass supreme 455 engine with GA heads also with a mild cam and .20 over,It also has a 323 rear end. Don't know much about which one will work well with my car stage 1 or stage 2 .Opinions wanted.Used as a daily driver also I like to get on it once in a while. But I don't abuse it.Thanks

You could buy a core and get it built locally.

I still have the summit tranny still bolted. My mechanic suggested to get it off line because in NY it may cost just as much to rebuild one.

For the same money you can get a far beefier trans. If yours is toast, get it rebuilt.

About $650, I dropped it off and picked it up.
