Transmission Dip stick and Tube TH400
Transmission Dip stick and Tube TH400
I was all set with http://www.fusickautomotiveproducts....?number=TDS677 but it's not in stock.
I thought I saw the TH350 dip stick/tube is the same for TH350 please verify.
Is it me or is this part elusive, I keep seeing Chevy T400 tubes.
What am I missing here?

TH350 in an A-body is P/N 6261696
TH400 in an A-body is P/N 1384735
Who ya gonna believe?
Not much luck with that GM part number but this at least shows olds T400 and not chevy https://www.inlinetube.com/products/inl14390
As an aside, I don't know when the "under the armpit" style of 67 went to the "aim at the underside of the hood" style of 72 at least TH dipstick tube. I meant, there are at least two different ones based on year.
Edit: table up there says that happened in 68

Many years ago I searched the parts book for a matching TH350 dipstick and tube that used the superior boot style seal, and didn’t hit the hood. When the part came in and I verified that it would fit a typical car (at the time I was working on a 80 F body with a 455 olds swap) I kept the GM parts tag so I would have the part number next time I needed it. And the next time unneeded it, I found the part numbers had been discontinued. 😡
TCI and Coan carry the matching dipstick and tubes. And as other pointed out, most parts stores will order one for a Chevy bellhousing bolt pattern, oblivious to the fact they don’t fit BOP cases. I would think summit or JEGS carry them as well.

Yeah, I was going to say that the 1967 A-body tube is one-year-only. I'm assuming that shape change to clear the 68-72 style HVAC box, which was different from the 64-67 box.
