If I removed the (removable) front rail, could this trailer handle my 1965 Vista Cruiser? Or is it too short? VC is 208" overall length, 120" wheelbase, 3500-lbs.

Yes,that's a 20' bed and 102 is as wide you can get legal.
OOPs, misread the total length. It might work with a little overhang and the front tiedowns are going to be really short.

I dragged a '64 Dynamic 88 home from Wisconsin on a rented U-Haul trailer. It was 78" between the fenders- the trailer, I mean. The car hung out the back a scary bit, and when I hit road construction through Chicago and the lanes got narrow- well, it led to some tense moments. But it worked. I guess that's the point... This is pretty close to the same length as yours... I guess it's almost 18 feet
While still within the capacity of that trailer, shipping weight on a base 1965 Vista with two row seating is 3747 lbs per the 1965 SPECS booklet. Add to that for a third row and/or a Deluxe model. My 64 Vista fit fine on my 18 ft. equipment trailer.
Thanks all. So the 192" (16') Bed Length plus the 32" Beavertail makes this an 18-footer?
Joe, thanks for the weight clarification. I had 3741-lbs for the 2-Seat Custom in my vehicle database, but Googled instead!
