When I got into this hobby, all the cars listed above were not very old and we had fun hot-rodding them. I've owned all of the major car food groups, they never get old and bring back fond memories of that bygone era. I'm even accepting towards the late model Challengers, Camaros, and Mustangs. The younger generation like us back then, just want to have fun. On a side note, it seems trucks is a category that is growing fast. When you come upon a car that you dislike for some reason, just walk past it. And like I said in the other post, if your going to a local car show specifically for a trophy, most often than not, you will go home disappointed.

Eric and Jesse I agree with what you both said. There is always a lot of late model Corvettes there also. I hate those Challengers and Chargers with the goofy headlights. But, they may hate my 75 Olds and that is okay.
Yeap, that about comprises the list of 75% of the cars you see at show's, it gets boring! I like to see other cars, saw a 72 Buick Electra ragtop last year, it was big and cool, plan to show my 72 D88 ragtop when done, the later generations of kids will think those cars (list) are the only kind we drove! A buddy is doing a 64 Falcon with a hot engine, should be cool when done.
I love going to a show and looking at other's pride and joy, but mine stays home. Prefer to just take out on a quick errand. Was in the hills of east Tennessee last fall and an older gentleman came up the mountain in an old Ford truck. Of course I had to speak with him. This was a black 37 Ford V85. Flat head v8, 85 h.p. He lived down the mountain and was just out for a drive, he had grown up there and gave me history on the area and the truck which had belonged to his neighbor while he was a kid. This experience was so cool, no trophies, just car people talking cars and history. This will be etched in my brain forever.
I don't mind other performance cars being there when they are smaller shows or events. At a big show, I will walk right past every Mustang old or new, and almost all new cars. This does not mean it's not a cool car, but I am not interested in cars I see on the road every day, everywhere. I do gravitate towards cars I have not seen in years/decades/never before.
I did like the satisfaction of all the looks my Starfire used to get during the Backs to the Bricks cruises.

If it’s late model anything, and at a car show, in my opinion it better have some custom touches to separate it from the 500 models just like it driving past the show. And custom touches doesn’t include color coordinated wire loom under the hood. 🙄
The factory I work at has a huge car show the 3rd Sunday in august. There is no entry fee, and local businesses usually donate some really nice door prizes. You would be amazed at the cars entered (especially the aforementioned Challengers/Chargers and Ram trucks) many owners don’t even bother to clean out the french fries from the backseat before entering.

Me too.....and have! I've been a MUSTANG guy from way back. Had three including a 1969 BOSS 302! Would love to have had a 1969 Z/28! Never owned but one MOPAR but there are a lot I'd loved to have owned. I've even owned a couple British cars. I can't vote because they're all good to me!
I would TAKE any car on the list, but for sure would sell the Mustang or T-bird immediately. There are a couple of Mustangs that are more visually appealing that I *might* consider holding onto, but generally speaking, I don't care for either model. I'm not anti-Ford, either. My Dad had a couple of 64 Galaxie's, a red hardtop out in AZ, and a black convertible after they moved back to MI, that were great looking cars. And I'd love to have a '37 Ford, either a coupe or sedan. I love those fat fenders, teardrop headlights, and grille. My personal opinion is that was the most beautiful car Ford ever built, but I digress.

Please excuse pictures of old pictures! BTW, I did all the metal work, body work and paint on this BOSS..... all by myself! It is still being shown around Palmer, Alaska!

Oddly enough, the two old cars I will get from my dad are a Ford and a chrome front bumper stingray.
no 'stang (or other Ford) would get parked in my garage overnight.
We may quibble about the order of what makes/models we detest seeing at our local shows and cruises, but there's no doubt about those Top 4 (or bottom 4 depending on how you look at it) in the Poll. One nice thing that I've seen happening in the Class Structure at our local shows is many of these over-represented cars are getting grouped into their own Classes. For example, there is a Tri-Five Class for the 55-57 Chevy's and a Pony Car Class for the 64-72 Mustangs, Camaros, Firebirds, Amx's, Cudas, and Challengers.
My buddy has been a GM man since the mid 70's when we converted him from Dodge. He has three 442's, and his wife a '94 Z/28. When he was turning 60 years old, they (his wife) were going to buy a new 2017 Camaro V6 for his birthday, but he didn't want to spend the money. She bought him a '05 Mustang GT with 15k on the odo. His daughter in law has a 2010 Camaro SS that she bought new,and hates mustangs, when he takes the 'stang to her house, she will not let him park in the drive way.
"there are some ways to change the spark plugs without pulling the engine. One way is to use a swivel socket and an extension. Another way is to remove the shock tower brace and use a universal joint."
Sorry, incorrect. Boss 429s are Hemis, and the plugs are on the top. Big Block Mustangs are tight, yet you don't have to jack the engine to remove/install the plugs. I owned plenty of '69-'70 BB 428 Mustangs. With the proper sockets/swivels I had removed/replaced the plugs in 20 minutes....even with the smog tubes still in place.
I think it's hilarious. Either you are a stang person or you aren't. Seen one. Seen them all. Wouldn't stop to look at one stang Ever at a car show. I am an Oldsmobile guy. I wouldn't be here talking stang smack if I wasn't. No thank you. Comet? Cougar? Galaxy? Torino? Fairlane? Sure. Plenty of stang forums out there. Sign up.
The shock towers on ford's are so in the way. People posting well if you get three swivels together and an eight inch extension they really aren't that bad...🤔😂🤣🍻

I get it, you don't like them. There are also lots of people who hate Oldsmobiles (I don't!) Its all a matter of taste. However, having a bad attitude to other makes is not good for our hobby in general.
Like I said. This is an Oldsmobile forum. I am glad you like what you like. I loved my 59 Rambler wagon. I could care less if someone likes it or not. Takes all of us to support the hobby. I will never sign up to what everyone else does. Like what you like. I will like what I like.
