Back in 1970, while preparing to attend an automotive school, I went to the local Sears store and purchased my first set of serious tools. I still have most of them and use them, although sparingly to this day. The quality of tools back then was much better than what we have today.

I cut down grade eight bolts into axle pins with cotter pin retainers. Shimmed the casters with stainless washers. 1000 lb capacity. I’ve considered building a layered gear round top to use it as a poolside beverage table when not in functional use….
Last year my Dad's Black and Decker skill saw, the adjustment broke. It is older than me I believe, will have to take a look for a date. Dad used that saw for years as Carpenter. I have his 3/4" Grey hand tools, made in Canada, good stuff.
