I took advantage of beautiful weather yesterday in North Texas to snap these pics of my cars.
Was my first opportunity to have them together at one time/place.
They won't remain a threesome for long as I'm giving the '68 442 to my nephew soon.
Tom, these are all outstanding cars. Your nephew is very fortunate to have you as and uncle. I have always known you are a good guy and you continue to prove it. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you soon.
As a result of soon having to vacate a storage unit, I decided either the Toro or the 442 would have to go.
I’ve had the Toro since 1981 and am more attached to it. So, goodbye 442. At least it’ll kind of stay in the family.
My nephew is very much into cars and quite knowledgeable about most technical aspects.
He’s already obtained a storage unit and is arranging for collector vehicle insurance.
He’s pretty stoked about owning it soon, which I’m pleased about.
The 442 is by no means a concourse example, but I’m sure my nephew will be able to make improvements and have fun doing so.

All beautiful. Just wondering how you settled on giving your nephew the '68. Personally I would have kept the '68 and the '69, but that's just me. I'm sure it will be a merry Christmas for your nephew in any case!
I prefer to keep the two H/O's since they were relatively recently restored (18 months - '72; 4 yrs - '69) and because they're H/O's.
I'd like to keep the '66 Toro since I'm more attached to it.
I believe my nephew would appreciate/enjoy the 4-speed (442) the most.
He's owned/driven/done hands-on work on performance cars in the past, including the below Z28.
My nephew is now the owner of the 442.
After it was loaded by the carrier this past Wednesday afternoon here in North Texas, I drove to Cincinnati to be with my nephew when the delivery was completed early Friday morning in a balmy 22 degrees F.
Later that morning we went to an Ohio BMV office to have the title signed over and he was given his temporary license tag.
I experienced various interesting things during my time on the road to/from Cincinnati and while there.
I was able to get back on the road early Friday afternoon to avoid the winter weather that was heading across the mid-US.
I'm so happy for my nephew. I can't think of anyone more appropriate to be the new owner.
Below pics are at delivery. You'll notice the reverse lights aren't working. Something for the new owner to address.
Best I could do was teach my daughter to drive stick in my 71 LT1 Vette. Great on you to pass a passion on to the younger guys.
Recently drove my old man's 71 base 350 Corvette. Manual everything. Cramped pedals. Too much spring in the pedal for how normal the clutch is. He was mildly critical of my shifting, but mine's better than his, lol.

Good move, Tom. Nice to find someone to care for a car and value it during a time when he might not be able to afford it yet, but has energy and time to devote to it.
