For those without fall foliage.

Took a hike with son and grandson yesterday.
My first time there didn't realize the area was well-known for rock climbing.

Many years ago, when I commuted to and worked in NYC, my wife and I took a trip up to the Berkshires and stayed in the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge. Beautiful.

This is probably one of this things I'll miss most about moving from northern CT to South Carolina earlier this year, the fall leaf season.

NY Hawks nest rock cut. Cliffs on one side Delaware River on the other. Rode my motorcycle on that road 100's of times. Upstate NY is just beautiful! Miss it. Too bad it just too cold in winter!

Frank, we went back in December for the Christmas Festival in Stockbridge. It was like a fairy tale. It was really funny talking with people who had been coming there for years. My hybrid Louisiana/Texas accent stood out just a little bit. Folks were amazed and several told us they had never had a Texan there. It was such a festive occasion, and the Red Lion Inn was decorated to the nines. It is a great memory for my wife and me.

Beautiful scenery. I have a Maple tree in the front yard that's yellow then red/orange then red /rust. Neighbors and friends will take pics.
