I am looking at buying something from Canada and do not know the seller. Does Pay Pal have any protections when dealing across the border? What about eBay? Most of the time I would not worry about it but this is not a low priced part.

As far as I know, all of the corporate protections are the same.

Legal protections are nil, though.

There should be no difference regarding PayPal or EBay. I purchase off EBay.com when I'm buying in the USA or EBay.ca when I'm buying in Canada. It's all about the shipping though. When I purchase in the USA I have the item shipped to a P.O. Box. Otherwise, the shipping company adds brokerage fees hidden in the shipping costs to get it to me in Canada, I don't know how the do it but many vendors have free shipping in the US, not do many in Canada. I have had PayPal support in all my purchases whether in Canada or USA. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys, The deal fell through. The guy don't know much about Oldsmobiles. I could tell that from the beginning. He said he had what he thought were NOS 442 grills but they turned out to be Supreme grills when he sent me the pictures.
