Sweet!!

So I found another 85 delta about 3 miles from my house just sitting in a car port with junk piled on it. I knocked on the door and a kid about 20 yrs old answered. It was his car, he bought it for 800 bucks a year ago from the original owner. The exhaust fell off of it 2 weeks after he bought it. and then he said the glove box had white smoke coming out of it, so he took it into a shop and was quoted like 1500 for repairs. So he just got another car...a green hyundai.
He said he sold the car to his buddy for 200 bucks 4 months ago, but he never came to pick it or the title up. I asked him to get a hold of his friend and see if we could work something out, and that I'd give him 200 for the non rotten doors right then and there.
His friend called me today, and said he was without a car and was saving up to get the 1500 together to fix the delta at the said shop. I told him I would trade him that 97 Escort (FREEBIe) for the delta straight up. He is coming to look at it tomorrow

Both cars have 138000ish miles .....petty eerie huh?
I'll take an Olds over a purple escort any day. 50 bucks in heater core and exhaust tubing and I'll be cruising that bad boy hopefully.

Didn't I tell you a while ago that a man can never have too many Oldsmobiles?

Didn't I also tell you to sell the Ford so you could buy another Oldsmobile?

=) I'm always right!

Can you post an image of the Ford, just for "old" time sake? Sorry had to....

I always have to have at least 3.
A daily driver.
A FAST one.
And a pretty cruiser.

I already put a deposit down on a 77 Grand prix rear end for it at the boneyard.

Nice find.

I personally want a early 90's Bravada to build up too, but the wife would kill me, and I don't blame her.

So I gotta win the lottery first, then I can have my 3 Oldsmobiles

You know the old saying:

If it has ***** or wheels, it's going to give you problems (edited for Classic Oldsmobile)

!

I just happened to have my camera in my jacket when I went outside for a cigarette today. Here's some pics of the new/old clunker.

Damn, I love these cars. Such sharp looking piles of junk.
You can tell the rust just showed its ugly face earlier this year. Thank god it can/will be saved in the springtime.
