Wow, that is cool.
I have never seen one either.
Must have been built for overseas delivery only.
Oh, and welcome to CO.
Thanks for posting.

maybe yes, but what´s the base model of it?
the roof looks like from a delivery but deliverys only got 2 doors and station wagons got other straighter windows, woody style and the trunk deck on stations is splitted in two doors which open up and downwards, on deliverys they r opening sideways
what could it be worth?

Did Oldsmobile build models for overseas only?

One of the members here has a reason to believe his car is one of those: https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...tml#post592729

From the tailights and the split windshield it looks like a 1949 88. I would venture to guess that it is a custom hearse conversion body build from a 4 door from the shape of the windows. My two cents

Possibly a Binz modification. They used to make Mercedes wagons, too.

i don think its a 88 cause of the big six flathead engine n that´s also the reason why i dont think it could be 1950
a hearse could be, but normally hearse trunk doors dont open fully upwards. i think cause it would be difficult to load in

It is a 49 not a 50. The 50 had the chrome trim on the front fender. It is also based on a model 76 and not an 88 since it has the flathead straight 6 in it. I have never seen one of these. Very rare I am sure.

the dashboard looks like futuramic to me

This is a 1950 76 model. Notice the hood holes for the rocket and the horn ring on the steering wheel.

If it is a 50 it's very early, the windshield is the split type. I wonder if it was a flower car, doesn't look long enough for a herst....Tedd

Looks like an ambulance conversion to me. Seems like provisions for two roof mounted emergency lights and the two individual rear seats for a medical attendant.
