(Stereo) Radio Question

Application: 1971 or 1972 Cutlass models

Part: AM/FM Radio with rear speaker option

Question: is model 23AFP1 a stereo rear speaker, or monaural? Thanks for your help. (I keep thinking it's monoaural but I need a second or third or fourth etc opinion.

Thanks everyone.

Uh huh, you'd be right if the speakers were original. I'm not worried about them. The ones that will be going in are NOS GM 10 ohm speakers designed for the car and model year. They will sound the way they are supposed to.

And now, back to the question of the thread.....Anyone know if the 23AFP1 is a stereo AM/FM? I will be installing the 2 rear speaker option, got the NOS grills that go over top, + the sound baffles for underneath too. I'm still looking through my Olds parts manuals and stuff. Where is the radio listed in the parts guide? Its not under "Radio" or "Stereo". GM has a unique way of hiding the name somewhere.
