Stainless Thermostat Housing Bolts

I'm looking to get some stainless arp bolts for the thermostat housing, is the Pontiac bolts the same size as olds? or anybody have a lead on some nice stainless bolts I can use thanks.

Here is the Pontiac set:

I don't know what might be available north of the border, but here in the US my local Tractor Supply sells stainless fasteners by the pound. This is not exactly a highly-stressed structural joint. I doubt you need to pay ARP prices. On some manifolds, these holes are open to the coolant passage on the bottom, so use anti-seize. The gasket will prevent leakage, so you don't need teflon paste on the threads.

Thanks alot Joe I had a pack of ARP bolts for something I bought, they didnt work out, think it was going to be for my perfect launch diff cover, but they are the size you mentioned, I guess I will use those.

Good idea. I reinstalled a thermostat and a new thermostat housing gasket yesterday. The bolts were pretty nasty looking even though I had cleaned them recently.👍

Make sure you have enough length into manifold as to not pull threads out. Those bolts look short.

Your sir are correct, so I guess I will have to get longer bolts or studs.
