So for a temp fix on a pair of 15x7 rallys I took off the trim caps and handed them down. Primerd. And paint with silver rattle can. Did this just for temp. Until I get my paint job going to have them blasted and painted same color as car. But everything was going good and I was happy with it. Until I did the coat of clear from duplicolor. It kinda smuged. Tried standing down with 2000 grit it just pulled it off now looks horrible in 2 spots. How can i fi

I did not no that. Well this is just temporary. Hope to get my paint job in December and that us when ill get them done right this is just so I can ride on them in the meantime. But now with this problem I don't no how to smooth it out abd fix?

Looks like the paint was not cured when you sanded it or the paint did not have enough grip on the original surface. Most spray paints my dry in a day but actually need a week to fully cure (but do not mention that on the can...) Wait a few more days and resand that area with 400 and spot spray it.
It will not look the best but would get you by until Dec.
If it continues to flake off, then either the original surface was too smooth or there was contamination on it. Paint needs a surface with tooth to grip into.
Sandblasting is the best way to prep these wheels for paint.

I recently read on the dupli website the following.
Lacquor can go on lacquor
Enamel can go on enamel
Enamel can go on lacquer.
Lacquer CANNOT go on enamel.
Maybe make sure your paints match up well. Could be a BA. Chemical reaction.
