spray paint job
That's going to cost you when you do get the car painted lol! Just one more layer of paint the body man is gonna have to get through before he can work on it
On a brighter note, DAMN! That looks pretty good considering!

These are all cheesy cell phone pictures on an overcast day, but here is proof the other side is painted!

That is a very creative and low cost way to make the car look different. It sure does clean up better than the original pic. BTW, was your car originally a two-tone?
I've used the vinyl dye, but only on my carpet. It's still original and was starting to fade. Also used it on the lower door panel carpeting. Looks like new. Only thing is it takes a long time for the keytones or whatever they use to dissipate the smell.
Nice job! I can see how the mustang inspired you. What are your long range plans for the car?

The car has 136K original miles and is all original otherwise, the bench seat is thread bare. I am likely going to go bucket seats, I would love to go original, but the cost is extensive. I have a very nice set of black vinyl late model reclining seats that I will try on for size and fit to see if I like them. I want to do a nice, classic feel, custom console with cupholders and house a set of Autometer silver face gauges and a CD player. Someone had already put in a very nice carpet set, but it's not loop pile, it's cut pile. I have some cut pile carpet in a roll, I am thinking of taking the factory door panels and replacing the bottom section with the cut pile to match the carpet and at the same time I may attempt adding some 6 1/2 Infinity speakers that I have to match my Infinity 6x9's. I will likely use the same carpet to make my package tray in the rear. I already have disc brake spindles and all of the pieces from a donor car to convert those. I'm not sure I like the wheels on it, I borrowed them from my '78 455 car. The '78 is sporting 14x6 & 15x7 Chrome Olds rally wheels. The 8" aluminum wheels really help to fill the fender wells. I want to lower the car an inch or so all the way around.... I want to detail the engine compartment and someday, a few years from now, put real paint on it. But i do like this for now! It beads water and has sealed the body. I did most of the body work (welded in metal etc.) so painting it won't be too bad now...
Here is what I used:

Carpeting, seats etc are personal taste so I don't critique that. Actually one thing you prolly already know is you can install 'heated' bucket seats for those cold days? They are sooo nice. You'll also need to weld in some bucket seat brackets - the bench seat ones won't work.
I've seen cars with worse looking wheels than that. For now I'd spend the $$ one things that will give you the enjoyment of driving??
Nice work on the car BTW. Have you looked at any of the products from Legendary/PUI for your front seat?
I also have a new 442/SX back bumper and the trumpets to go with it, Just need to put them on. It has flowmaster mufllers, but is remarkably quiet. I would love a OAI hood someday, but I have three other Olds that are begging for $$$$, the green '78 is having clear coat issues (painted in Nov. '98) I have a'68 Cutlass convertible that needs paint and carpet, and some brake work. I have a '69 Vista that ALSO needs paint & body work.... ugh!
