Source Needed to Look Up GM Part Numbers

I am having trouble determining the OEM part number for a switch on our '76 Cutlass that bears no GM part number (it says nothing but "INDAK" which I know was a builder of switches). Can anyone suggest a resource that might help with GM part numbers in general?

I'd try GMPartsWiki, but when I start to download it my Frontier Secure tells me that it is bad medicine . . .

Google or E bay searches for Oldsmobile parts catalogs... Here's a sample of what may be available...

Hey Jeff,

I have a 76 chassis service manual that has part numbers in it , what switch are you looking to verify?

It is the fan speed switch for my HVAC blower. This is in a car with "manual" air conditioning (as opposed to "Comfortron" or whatever Olds Division called it in '76).

Looks like this:

Part number shown on box is NOT necessarily the right one!

Thanks!

The only part number I could find for a blower control switch is 15-7004 but it doesn't look the same as the pic shown.
I will try to look a little more tomorrow night .

What is wrong with the switch, most times there older switches can be pulled apart, contacts cleaned, and put back good as new..

I think you're wanting GM 9346507 / Delco 15-7815

Source

Looks like there are a few on eBay with good pictures.

Thanks to all for your responses.

Any word on where to find a GM parts resource that I can use for myself? I'm very proficient at using such catalogs; I've been doing so for most of my working/automobiling life. I even remember microfiche!

I don't know what "Frontier Secure" is, but I use GMPartsWiki all the time on Firefox with no issues. Norton has no problem with that site, either.

Thanks, Joe. Never having actually used it, I didn't know how trustworthy it is.

There are parts catalogs available on line to purchase, as I referenced... Are you actually just looking for an online type catalog source???
