Nice. I put a 455 in my 73 Omega back in the early 80s. What a great car it was. Keep us posted.

Before spending $$$ on EFI, you might investigate a good Q-jet. @rickw30 has two nice 800 CFM cores for sale, your choice for $100.

When you said "soon to be" I assumed it was not already a fait accompli. My bad.

So you have FiTech EFI on a SBO engine in your Omega now?

Fits right in, I used exhaust manifolds that came w/ engine. Engine was in a 71 Olds 88. Someone had put it in the 88 originally from a 69 Toronado. So I think manifolds were from the 88. Seems like left manifold did hit on Nova style steering box, but I think I ground it and added spacers on frame mounts to move engine some. I was a long time ago.... Used a T350 trans which fit right in. I thought that would be too weak, but worked great though I wasn't super hard on it. Omega was originally a 350 car, but engine was gone when I got it. Used original open rear end- one wheel peal!! Took to a muffler shop who made exhaust pipes from manifolds to mufflers- then dual glasspacks and tailpipes for a dual exhaust Nova. Good times, very nice driving car powerful and dependable.

Hey, as far as throttle body EFI on Olds engines--I've done installs with Fitech and Holley Sniper. Fitech was nice with support for PWM fuel pump, but a little more finicky with getting the inital timing set (once you are there--it's all good). Holley Sniper was a breeze to set up, but didn't support PWM. New sniper 2 is out, haven't had experience with one yet but I've heard good things.

I'm currently running the Sniper Quadrajet on my G-block 400, and it performs nicely.

For either, I highly recommend upgrading to a CS130 alternator if you haven't already, install the MSD 8830 across the battery, and use MSD Superconductor plug wires. RFI will drive you nuts, and taking this advice might save you from stroking out.

I went to sniper, best money I have spent. It starts hot 🔥 or cold 🥶. Idle is bang on all the time, smoooooooth. Good mileage to boot.

That's awesome there's some good feedback about TBI EFI. I got rid of the Quadrajet on my 71 98 long ago. No doubt the Summit carburetor runs way too rich. Maybe I should swap to EFI. They even have that Sniper Quadrajet EFI now. 🤔
